Huawei E620 Data Card Quick Start Guide

 

 

You can use the software CD provided, but it is out of date and Vodafone specific so it is not as easy to run on other mobile networks.  So for Windows XP I strongly suggest you do the following:

 

  1. Download, unzip the Mobile Partner software for windows here and run the setup.exe file.

 

  1. Insert your sim into the Data card.

 

  1. Insert Data card into laptop.

 

  1. Run Mobile Partner software. 

 

  1. Goto Tools, Options, Profile Management. 

 

  1. Then new profile, edit and insert APN, username and password (these settings can be obtained here)

 

  1. Finally save your settings, select that profile and press connect – then you should be up and running.

 

 

Or you can try the Mobile Connect software here.

 

There is other data card software here (although it is very slow to download).  Or you can try your network providers web site and download their own software (if this card is supported).

I haven’t tried on Mac OS X or Microsoft Vista, but the card does work with these and if you need help try googling.
